Ernesto LecuonaPiece Duration: 4:08
About this Piece
(Movement V. is 11:54-16:02)
Program Note: "Suite Andalucía is Ernesto Lecuona's masterpiece for piano, reproduced worldwide and transcribed numerous times for other instruments, even for orchestra by the composer himself. It was composed in 1933, after Lecuona's trips to Spain.
The six works refer to Andalusian landscapes, such as Malagueña (Málaga), the Guadalquivir River, the province of Córdoba... The rhythmic style of Andalusia dominates in this composition."
