Halley’s Comet

Program Note: A comet is an object of dust and ice that orbits the sun. The composer Joe W. Moore was inspired by Halley's Comet, which last appeared in the sky in 1986, the year the composer was born! Halley's Comet becomes visible from Earth every 75-79 years with the next appearance occurring in 2061. You can learn more about comets here!
